LAST pays homage to our three founders’ first initials. Get to know Lucy, Anita, and Sarah below! And the T? Well, everything is done with a strong “team” mindset and always working “together.” We are sentimental people and being romantics at heart, we believe in creating lasting memories.

Weddings & Events Lead
Sarah has been in the events and wedding industry for over a decade. She believes every great event is created with exceptional organization and experiential design in mind. Celebrating 5 years with Our Jonrah Events, she loves being an entrepreneur and churning out new ideas. In her spare time she enjoys exploring new spots, spending quality time with her husband, dogs Latte and Butter, and dreaming up future theme events.
Anita
Corporate & Community Events Lead
Starting her career as a nurse, Anita has an intrinsic and personal value to care and uplift others. She believes in creating inclusive opportunities and enjoys collaborating with industry florists as she is the artist behind Florals by Anita. As a nurtured creative, she loves to explore opportunities and foster meaningful relationships. When she’s not planning her next vacation, quality time with her loved ones and friends are top of mind!
Lucy
Billing & Accounts Lead
Lucy has over 10 years of hospitality and customer service under her belt. With organization top of mind, she keeps our systems, logistics, and numbers in check. Often behind the scenes, Lucy is very operational minded and ensures our venue systems are running smoothly. You will be surprised that she takes drumming lessons and has an extensive knowledge on cars! Oh and she wants to get a dog.

How our vision came to be
Sarah, with experience as a wedding planner, realized how Edmonton lacked a modern, chic, and contemporary character space for clients to envision their ideas in. With her insight from her clients and hearing the cries for a modern venue, Sarah approached her longtime industry friend Anita with her idea.
To her surprise, Anita was enthusiastically on board and ready to start a new venture! Anita and Sarah embarked on a stroll downtown and started looking for locations with potential. They knew they wanted to focus on being central and create a unique market opportunity in downtown Edmonton.
It was impeccable timing that they both walked into Latitude 53 in the fall of 2022. Both of them had personal experiences in that space. Sarah (previously working in catering), had worked at an event held there. Anita, has attended art exhibitions and her own dear friend’s wedding there. It was unbeknownst to the two of them that there was a giant “for lease” sign right outside.
As heads were spinning and ideas churning, Sarah connected with Lucy who was a perfect fit and resonated with the whole vision. Making the trio a dream team in creating, planning, and operating LAST.
